1979: Awarded BA First Class Honours, Fine Art. Also awarded Post Graduate Scholarship.

1979-1980: Post Graduate Scholarship at Glasgow School of Art. Awarded diploma in Post Graduate Studies with high Commendation. Also awarded Travelling Scholarship by Scottish Education Department.

1980-1981: St Andrew's College of Education Awarded Diploma in Secondary Teaching with Merit.
